Schedule a Special Event

The Community Observatory can be scheduled Monday - Thursday evenings for special events.

When scheduling a special event, you must provide:

• contact information for the person that will be responsible to contact the group in the event of a weather closure,
• the number of students/adults planning to attend,
• the curriculum/program topics of interest to the group.

On evenings during the week, normal parking regulations and fees apply.  Please have your drivers purchase a parking pass from the vending machine located in the parking lot.

Schedule a Solar Viewing Field Trip (for 3rd grade and up)

The Community Observatory can also be reserved for a daytime solar viewing field trip for the El Dorado County schools.  School district field trip regulations apply and an additional solar viewing parental permission slip must be completed by students prior to visiting the Observatory.
